In addition, we will focus on identifying vocal tone colors (woman, man, child, and groups of the previous three).  The vocal tone color identification test will occur during the first half of the marking period.

THIRD GRADE                                                                                                                                                                                     Third graders will have a vocal assessment on singing a two-part melody in the form of a round.  The round will be performed in small groups of two or three students.  The assessment will occur during the first half of the marking period.  Students will also conclude their tone color unit with folk and orchestral instruments by discriminating the different tone colors of the violin, cello, and string bass, as well as the acoustic guitar, banjo, harmonica, and hammered dulcimer.  An aural instrument identification test will occur during the second half of the marking period.
